The Ship Inn - Alveston, Bristol

The Ship Inn at Alveston in Bristol dates back to 1589, and is a favourite with people from all over the South West who want to sample modern food in a traditional setting.

 

The Ship Inn is one of the only restaurants in the area boasting a fresh steak bar. Every Thursday night is steak night at the Ship, and diners are able to choose the type and weight of the meat they prefer from a large selection of fresh cuts.

Head Chef Steve is on hand to talk guests through the choice of steaks available, which include traditional favourites such as large rib steaks and large T-bone as well as fillet, sirloin, and rump. All steaks served at The Ship Inn are locally sourced.

 

For diners who want to try something a little more exotic, The Ship Inn offers a choice of fresh crocodile, bison, ostrich and wild boar steaks. Champion card magician Andy Field performs close-up magic at diners’ tables during the evening.
