A lot of what we buy is English and we love to discover good food close by.

We have travelled around the South West to seek out the very best of British produce, from people who share our passion for food, but with the best will in the world, we can’t source everything locally.

For us the important thing is provenance and knowing where and how food is produced. We focus on the quality of the farming or production methods and the ethics and integrity of the grower, breeder, or supplier.

Cooking and eating together are generous activities and the atmosphere at The Cowshed is bustling and lively.

The informal setting has a farm house feel and combines flagstone floors with handmade furniture and an open kitchen looking out from the heart of the building.
