Description:
Bristol YouTube comedian Jody Kamali is looking for a business sponsor to help produce a comedy guide DVD to New York City.
Kamali is famous around the country for his character Terry the Odd Job Man, and has become a YouTube sensation with Terry’s Bristolian language lessons.
He has achieved fame across the UK with his no-nonsense guide to the ins and outs of proper Bristol speaking, released a DVD at the end of last year called ‘Terry’s Gert Lush Guide to Bristol’.
The DVD has proved very popular with Bristolians around the country, and Terry has received fan mail from as far away as America.
This prompted Kamali to take Terry on a trial tour of New York City, to see what Terry made of the Big Apple, and more importantly, what it made of him. You can see how he got on below.
Now Jody is looking to take Terry on an extended tour of New York to really let him get a feel for life as a Bristolian abroad, and possibly even further afield in the USA. He is looking for sponsorship from local companies large and small who might consider sponsoring him to produce a video of his travels, in exchange for some proper Bristol promotion.
Jody is also considering the various Bristols of America, and thinks that sponsorship would give local companies the chance to support local talent.
Jody said: “The trial run in New York has been such a success. Terry has fit in perfectly in the U.S, creating some golden comedy moments. This is a great opportunity for companies to get involved and help put Bristol on the comedy map.”
