It’s the rocky-est horror-iest show of them all, and it’s on its way to the Bristol Hippodrome next week.
That’s right, Richard O’Brien’s classic tale of Brad and Janet’s struggle to evade and entangle themselves in the clutches of Frank N. Furta is back in Bristol after a four year absence, so don’t be surprised if you see hordes of decked out freaky theatre goers milling around the city centre next week.
The Rocky Horror Show is one of the longest running British stage musicals. It opened in London in 1973, and recently came eighth in a BBC Radio poll of the ‘Nation's Number One Essential Musicals’.
It’s traditional for audiences of the show to dress themselves up in all manner of creepy and kinky costumes as homage to the stage goings on. The show was adapted into a film in 1975, and showings of the movie attract the same level of audience participation.
The Rocky Horror Show will be playing at The Bristol Hippodrome from 05-10 July. Guide2Bristol has teamed up with the Hippodrome to give away three pairs of tickets to the Friday 09 show. To enter, just send us the message ‘Rocky’ using the enquiry form below. Good luck!
