The Bristol property market may have been unaffected so far by the results of last month's general election.
According to the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), sales across the UK as a whole have remained largely the same since May 6th and the average number of homes available has also stayed static.
In addition, the proportion of sales made to first-time buyers has been stable, the organisation claimed.
President of the NAEA Michael Jones suggested it is not unexpected that consumers decided to continue as normal.
He stated: "In a momentous political month, amid uncertainty over house prices it's unsurprising people decided to keep calm and carry on."
The expert added that the impact of the new government will not be felt for some weeks.
In the closest fought election for some time in Britain, the Conservatives managed to win the popular vote but failed to secure enough seats to achieve a parliamentary majority.
It therefore had to team up with the Liberal Democrats in order to form a coalition.
