The tastiest event of Bristol’s summer calendar is almost upon us. Food is being tasted and wine is being selected as preparations for Bristol Wine & Food Fair 2010 on Bristol Harbourside take place.
The Bristol Wine & Food Fair runs all day every day from Friday 2 to Sunday 4 July, and there are plenty of entertainments on offer.
Highlights of the Fair include the opportunity to taste hundreds of wines from the main wine producing regions of the world, including France, Spain, Italy, South Africa, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Chile and Argentina.
The event will also host twelve free cookery demonstrations from some of the best Chefs in the South West, including the city’s only Michelin-starred brothers Jonray and Peter Sanchez-Iglesias from Bristol restaurant Casamia.
More than sixty of the South West best artisan food and drink producers will be in attendance, giving an expected 11,000 visitors the opportunity to sample the very best of their wares.
There will be lots to do for kids as well over the weekend. Creative Kids International are running a free children’s art and craft activity centre, and Bristol restaurant Bordeaux Quay will be running a hands-on Cookery school and workshop for youngsters.
Tickets need to be booked in advance for cookery courses, and they can be purchased along with reduced price Bristol Wine & Food Fair tickets at www.bristolwineandfoodfair.com
