People keen to get into the party spirit this summer may welcome news that the Bristol Harbour Festival's Dance Village is to expand.
Since its launch in 2008, the programme - which is supported by NHS Bristol - has risen in popularity and this year it will take to three stages.
From July 30th until August 1st, the celebrations will see an impressive line up of international and local acts.
As well as the established venues in Cathedral Walk and Hanover Quay, it will feature performances in the city's Millennium Square.
Dance Village programmer Ashley Russell revealed he is "excited" about the event.
He added: "We are really lucky to have secured a number of artists that have never been seen in Bristol and would normally grace the stages of New York or London."
Among the acts preparing to take part at Bristol Harbour Festival are two performers from the New York City Ballet - which is a world-class outfit with roots tracing back to the 1930s.
