Description:
Britain’s Prince of Pop and Bristol’s very own pop star AJ will be playing tracks from his forthcoming album at HorseWorld’s Open Day in Bristol on Sunday 9th May. The rising star will be performing to help the charity raise vital funds to rescue neglected and mistreated horses and ponies.
AJ has supported Peter Andre and Lemar and his pit-stop performance at HorseWorld is between dates on his Love UK, Love AJ tour of venues nationwide.
HorseWorld are celebrating the tenth anniversary of the opening of their Visitor Centre this year and the Open Day already boasts a number of exciting entertainments. These include a demonstration of medieval horsemanship, dancing Spanish horses, an action-packed Western display from the Bristol Lawmen and the chance to meet some of the rescued animals, craft stalls, face-painting and fairground rides as well as the newly built Kid’s Zone which is sure to keep the entire family entertained for the whole day.
Jess Winchester, the charity’s Fundraising and Communications Manager, said: “We are delighted to have AJ’s support at our Open Day. As well as trying to raise funds to rescue neglected horses and ponies, we really want the event to be a huge thank you for all of the support we have received from the community over the past year and we really hope that the music will be the icing on the cake for our younger supporters”.
AJ will be supported by Trinity Miss, the south-west’s brand new all-girl teen pop group. The performances are anticipated to start at 3.30pm but numbers are limited so visitors are advised to arrive early to secure a place.
Entry to the Open Day will be by a suggested donation of £2 per adult and £1 per child and every penny spent on the day will enable HorseWorld to continue rescuing the horses and ponies that so desperately need help.
A full list of entertainment will be available on HorseWorld’s website www.horseworld.org.uk
HorseWorld is responsible for the care of nearly 500 equines, giving them the safe and happy futures they deserve, free from pain or neglect.
The Visitor Centre plays an important role, allowing the public to meet some of the recovered animals and learn about animal welfare. It is home to rescued horses, donkeys, hens, ducks, goats, ferrets and Portia the pot-bellied pig. Funds raised from the Visitor Centre are used to help pay for the charity’s work.
