A group of students from Bristol University made it through to the finals of a national competition.
The team of six participated in a two-day preliminary heat and joined contestants from the University of Bedfordshire, University College Plymouth MarJon and Nottingham Trent University in the last stage of the FLUX 500 initiative.
Developed by the Working Knowledge Group - which exists to bridge the gap between education and the workplace - the challenge aimed to teach students about how businesses are set up and developed.
The remaining groups faced a head-to-head challenge, with 15 minutes to prepare for a press conference grilling from four business experts.
In the end, the Bristol University contingent - which comprised Jethro Hancock, Parijat Kumar, Sophie Page and Ziwei Fan - lost out to the University of Bedfordshire team, who were crowned national champions.
Among the sponsors of the event were Experian, the Greater Nottingham Partnership and KPMG.
