Those keen to indulge in some nostalgia may wish to head to the Bristol Hippodrome next month.
Legendary writers Jimmy Perry and David Croft are bringing their stage adaption of the sitcom Dad's Army to the city.
Running for nine series, the TV programme focussed on the mishaps of a group of men in the Home Guard during World War II.
The theatrical celebration includes adaptations of the writers' personal favourites Branded and Mum's Army too.
Among those starring in the play are Leslie Grantham, who will be playing the role of Private Walker and Timothy Kightley, who has won considerable praise for his interpretation of Captain Mainwaring.
The show is touring the UK and it heads to Bristol from May 10th until May 15th, with performances getting underway at 19:30 BST.
There will also be afternoon shows on May 12th and May 15th and the events will last for around two hours.
