Renowned author and illustrator Anthony Browne has visited a Bristol school to discuss his role as children's Laureate.
He gave a talk at Bristol Grammar school on his position as the champion of the "readers of tomorrow", the Bristol Evening Post reports.
According to the publication, he is the fourth person who has held the coveted position to visit the learning institution.
With an international reputation, Browne has nearly forty books to his name, with his first offering, Through the Magic Mirror, published in 1976.
Commenting on his trip to Bristol, he said: "One of the great parts of visiting schools is seeing the enthusiasm children have for books - it never ceases to amaze me the joy and excitement the stories give."
He went on to say that he hoped that by interacting with youngsters, he would infect their imaginations by sharing his passion and enthusiasm for the world of literature.
