Excitement is rising as the Miss Bristol 2010 pageant approaches. Twenty one Bristol women have been successful in the final auditions, and will be competing to represent the city in the Miss England competition. They all hope to eventually represent England at the Miss World final.
The Miss Bristol final takes place on Sunday March 21, and is being held in the Wessex Room at The Grand hotel in Bristol. The prestigious venue will be sparkling on the night, as around 240 guests travel from around the local area to support the competitors.
Organisers Stages Hair Design of Westbury-on-Trym have been hard at work preparing for the event, and are confident that Sunday’s final will become the first part of an annual tradition for the city. Previous Miss Bristol’s have been chosen by a photograph entry competition. This is the first time since 1968 that Bristol has hosted a full Miss Bristol Pageant.
The evening will see two Miss England winners visit the city, as both Laura Coleman who won in 2008 and current Miss England Kat Hodge will be crowning the winner.
Tickets for the event are selling fast, so if you wish to attend on the day contact Stages directly for ticket details. The tickets also include admission to the Miss Bristol after party, which takes place at Rewind in Corn Street.
