Students in Bristol have been invited to take part in the University of Bristol Big Run.
Along with staff at the institution, they will have the opportunity to get involved in the event on Sunday March 14th.
Starting at the Coombe Dingle Sports Complex - which houses indoor and outdoor tennis courts, football pitches, netball courts and rounders facilities, among other things - the run will be traffic-free.
It is also reasonably flat, meaning participants will have the perfect opportunity to run against the clock as well as their fellow competitors.
The men's and women's races will be staged separately and there will also be team competitions, as well as a fancy dress prize for those who wish to don a more unconventional outfit for the event.
All those who take part will receive a commemorative t-shirt and their personal times will be recorded.
Individuals interested in getting involved can enter online.
