A group of students from Bristol University recently proved successful in a competition.
They won the first Inter-University Business Challenge, which involved them making proposals to spend a fictional £10 million government budget on start-up support for graduates.
Parijat Kumar, Charlie Robinson, Ali Wallace and Xi Chen made up the winning set, with a project which sought to overcome graduate fears of start-up failure by creating a Teach First-style scheme.
Commenting on the event, the University of Bristol - which was founded over 100 years ago, said: "It was a great opportunity for the students to meet local business expertise and think about their own options for entrepreneurial careers."
Among the sponsors of the contest were Deloitte and Veale Wasbrough Vizards, with support provided by a number of individuals, including Martin Coulthard of the Bath and Bristol Enterprise Network.
