Description:
As Valentine’s Day approaches, the Bristol hotel Alveston House is hoping to keep hearts fluttering with a series of special events from 12 – 14 February, and is offering one lucky couple to win a further romantic overnight stay later in the year.
Alveston House has seen 2010 off to a promising start in the love stakes with a surge of bookings for weddings and weekend breaks being received in January. Now the hotel, which boasts award-winning restaurant ‘Carriages’, is hoping to keep love in the air by putting the name of every person dining with them during Valentine’s Weekend into a free prize draw to win a romantic overnight stay comprising dinner, bed and breakfast for two people.
Hotel owner Julie Camm said “Last year has been especially tough for many people with the pressures of the recession, so it’s a pleasure for us to be able to bring an extra dash of romance to the year ahead for one of our guests.”
The Alveston House Hotel, a Georgian home which was converted to a hotel in the 1960s, is one of only a few independent hotels remaining in the Bristol area. The hotel prides itself on combining a personal and caring service with the best of modern facilities and is the proud owner of a coveted AA rosette awarded to its restaurant in 2008.
