Description:
Organisers of the Miss Bristol 2010 pageant have opened the competition up to local businesses for sponsorship.
Roz Castle, senior stylist of Stages Hair Design who have brought the competition to the city, said ‘the Miss Bristol pageant gives local business a great opportunity to put their message in front of Bristol people, and at the same time support a competition that aims to put Bristol on the map.’
There are many sponsorship opportunities available at the pageant, including branding at the event, sponsoring sashes and sponsoring the floral decorations on the night.
The Miss Bristol pageant, which will be held at The Grand hotel in March, is generating a lot of excitement. It is the first time since 1968 that Bristol has held a full pageant to select the woman who will represent the city in the Miss England competition.
The pageant will be very modern in its approach, though, and aims to bring the spirit of 2010 to the proceedings. There is no swimwear aspect to the competition, and organisers say that personality is as important as looks in deciding the winner.
In addition, the pageant will be used to promote awareness of environmental sustainability. One of the challenges that the entrants will face is to design an outfit from recycled materials.
All of the floral decorations at the event will be from a sustainable source, and are being supplied by local organic florists Bella & Fifi.
