The property market in Bristol and around the UK as a whole performed well this year, despite concerns among industry experts that it would struggle.
This is according to a BBC article, which pointed to figures produced by the Bank of England showing that the number of mortgages approved for house purchase increased in October for the 11th month in a row.
In addition, it cited HM Revenue & Customs statistics revealing that completed sales totalled 87,000 last month.
This was a significant rise on the 41,000 flats and houses sold in January.
The BBC remarked: "Many commentators have been taken by surprise by the revival of sales this year and the accompanying pick-up in prices."
Recently, chief executive at Assetz Stuart Law stated that, while there are still negative factors affecting property prices in the UK, they are likely to be outweighed by the positives moving forward into next year.
