Despite a slight rise in the number of properties on the market, the price of homes may be continuing to rise in Bristol.
According to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Rics), the value of flats and houses across the UK as a whole is increasing.
The organisation - which is a professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property and construction - cited rising demand among buyers as the cause of the trend.
Rics spokesman Ian Perry noted that, for the fourth consecutive month, homes gained value in November.
He added: "Despite modest increases in the number of properties coming on to the market, it is clear that this is not significant enough to keep pace with the levels of demand."
Mr Perry went on to suggest that, with the rate of job losses slowing as the economy shows signs of recovery, the new year could see a further wave of interest from consumers seeking properties.
