A company has been presented with an award for its transformation of a derelict historic former soap factory into affordable Bristol properties.
Recently, Jephson Homes Housing Association - which manages over 16,000 homes throughout the country - was handed a blue plaque by Bristol Civic Society, which it will be able to display at the development.
Commenting on the achievement, Maureen Lloyd, Jephson board member and chair of the association's South and West Regional Committee, said: "We are delighted to accept this prestigious award from the Civic Society. Christopher Thomas Court is a development of which we are extremely proud."
She added that considerable hard work went into the project to ensure that the features of the former industrial facility were retained while also creating as much affordable housing as possible.
The accolade was one of nine Environmental Awards dispensed by the society and it recognised the care that had been taken by Jephson with the Grade II listed building.
