A Bristol woman has been recognised for her contributions to the city's property market.
Lesley Freed was named female entrepreneur of the year at an awards ceremony at Mercure Holland House Hotel in recent days.
Her firm, Saco, offers serviced apartment accommodation to people working in the city in long-term projects.
The company, which is based on Whiteladies Road, was founded in 1997 and now employs more than 100 staff and enjoys a turnover of £14 million, regional news resource Bristol 24-7 notes.
It added: "The company has remained consistently profitable and has seen a sales growth of 90 per cent in the last two years, despite the economic downturn."
Other winners on the day included Rachel Titman of Nameless Media, who took home the Rising Star accolade.
Ms Freed is not the only Bristolian to have received praise recently, as Bristol University's engineering faculty was recently recognised for their work with aircraft firm Boeing.
