Those planning to buy Bristol property could be set to benefit from improvements in the market, as an expert has suggested there is "cause for cheer".
Figures from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Rics) revealed that a growing number of homes are being put up for sale.
And Nicholas Leeming, commercial director at Zoopla.co.uk, welcomed the finding, suggesting that a brighter outlook is emerging.
Activity was restricted by a lack of property on the market, he said, but the sector's recovery is likely to go "from strength to strength" if the needs of those seeking homes are met.
"More sellers are now looking to take advantage of strong buyer demand and recent house price increases," the expert remarked.
Recent figures from Communities and Local Government indicated that Bristol property prices may be above the national average, as the south-west is among the regions in which values exceed the typical level.
