Description:
Bristol City Council have appointed Hourbike as the suppliers for the Government's cycle city scheme in Bristol. The bikes can be hired by the hour and the scheme is being piloted at UWE campuses in Frenchay, Glenside and St Matthias as well as Bristol Parkway Railway Station. Initially there are 10 bikes however this is due to increase to 60 with 9 hubs throughout the city.To use the bikes you will need to register online with Hourbike and pay an initial £10 fee, you will then receive a smartcard with a pin number allowing you to unlock the bikes and the card will be charged once the bike is returned to a hub. Charges vary dependent on the amount of time the bike is used for and are approximately £1 per hour, less if multiple credits are bought. Further details may be found at www.hourbike.com
