Bristol Summer Cycling Campaign Pedals Ahead

Bristolians are being encouraged to get on their bikes and discover their city

The Bristol Cycling Campaign is behind a series of guided rides that will take place over the summer months. The aim is to get Bristolians out and about by bike, to get fit and active as well as becoming more familiar with the city. They also intend to show riders how easy it is to get around the city on a bicycle.

‘Discover Bristol by Bike' rides will take people around to little-known parts of the city that are accessible by bike. The rides are designed for cyclists of all abilities, so will be evenly paced as well as helping riders to develop cycling confidence. They will take in both urban and more rural parts of the city. The rides are led by an experienced cycle trainer from the Life Cycle UK organisation.


The next ride takes place on 25th of July, and will incorporate a tour of Clifton and the Downs. All the rides include a café stop to give people a chance to rest and chat, but people are advised to bring a bottled drink with them.
