Guide2Bristol has teamed up with the Bristol Hippodrome to offer four pairs of tickets to see Save The Last Dance For Me, a brand new musical from the writers of Birds of a Feather, which opens at the theatre on Monday 06 February and runs until Saturday 11 February.

Save The Last Dance For Me is a brand new musical written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, who as well as Birds of a Feather also wrote Shine On Harvey Moon and Goodnight Sweetheart. The show features the music of Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman and is directed by Bill Kenwright and Keith Strachan.

From the writers, producers, creators and directors of the hugely successful hit show Dreamboats and Petticoats, Save The Last Dance For Me is set in the 1960s, a time when each passing week brought a new rock n roll classic.

In 1963 two teenage sisters embark on a seaside holiday, their first time away without their parents. The girls meet a handsome young American who invites them to a dance at the local U.S. Air Force Base. Young love and holiday romance is never as simple as it sounds and the two teenagers soon realise that life and love can be colourful, even if the world around them is still watching itself in black and white.

The show features the classic hit songs of Pomus and Shuman including A Teenager In Love; Sweets For My Sweet; Turn Me Loose; Here I Go Again; Viva Las Vegas; Little Sister; His Latest Flame; Suspicion; Can’t Get Used To Losing You; Save The Last Dance For Me and more.

Save The Last Dance For Me runs from Monday 06 February until Saturday 11 February with performances at 7.30PM each evening and matinees at 2.30PM on Wednesday and Saturday. Tickets are priced from £11.50 to £35.50 with concessions available at certain performances.
