Description:

The Clifton Suspension Bridge spans the Avon Gorge and is the symbol of Bristol. Designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the bridge opened in 1859 and is now famous worldwide.

 

There is a small visitor centre on the Leigh Woods side of the Bridge with displays, historical information and souvenirs of the Bridge.

FREE guided tours are provided for the public every Sunday afternoon from Easter Sunday to mid September. Meet/start at 3.00pm at the toll booth at the Clifton end of the Bridge.
