Ashton Court is a huge 850 acre estate made up of woodlands and meadows located just over the Clifton Suspension Bridge and falls all the way down to Ashton and the Cumberland basin below.

Previously owned by the Smyth family, and now by Bristol City Council since the 1950's the estate has free entry and usually free parking outside of the major annual events held there such as the Balloon Fiesta, Ashton Court Festival and Kite Festival. There is also a public golf course, deer park, miniature railway and Ashton Court mansion which is a popular venue for wedding receptions and other functions.
