The Tobacco Factory is a multi use building, housing a Café Bar, Oriental Bistro, Creative industry work space, live/work loft apartments, animation and performing arts schools as well as a small theatre venue. It is housed in the former Imperial Tobacco factory.
The Tobacco Factory is located on North Street in Southville (south Bristol), an area characterised by small independent businesses, to preserve this local traders environment only local independent businesses are allowed to trade from the Tobacco Factory.
The Tobacco Factory theatre seats up to 250 people and is known for its diverse programme which includes an annual programme of two plays from "Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory", Christmas shows from the "Tobacco Factory Productions" and touring productions from some of the UK's most exciting companies as well as educational projects, children's' shows and music events.
