Westbury-on-Trym is a leafy suburb of Bristol often referred to as a village. This affluent area has good transport links and is bordered by Stoke Bishop, Westbury Park, Henbury and Southmead. There is an excellent local environment with a number of nature conservation and woodlands adjoining the local River Trym and is one of only a few suburbs in Bristol offering its residents a taste of the countryside on their doorstep.
A wide variety of local shopping available around the village centre and also a Somerfield supermarket with adequate parking. There are also quite a large number of restaurants and eight pubs within the area. Westbury-on-Trym is also home to highly regarded Italian restaurant Casamia, which won Gordon Ramsey's Best Restaurant in 2010.
Schools within the area include Elmlea Junior and Elmlea Infant Schools, Westbury on Trym Primary School as well as St Ursula's and Badminton Secondary schools.
