Description:

Redland is an affluent district of Bristol encircled by the districts of Clifton, Cotham and Bishopston. It is a mainly residential area which is popular with students due to the close proximity of Bristol University and the nightlife of Whiteladies Road.

 

Most of the housing stock is of Georgian architecture alongside a mix of Victorian and more modern buildings. Redland has fewer shops than Clifton but does have some restaurants, pubs and convenience stores dotted around. Redland is served by the Redland Railway Station, it also on a number of bus routes into the city centre.

 

The Redland May Fair takes place each May Day Bank holiday on Redland Green. Redland is also home to the Bristol Lawn Tennis & Squash club.
