Bristol has come a long way in terms of shops over the last few years. It wasn't so long ago that people would tell you that Bristol couldn't compare to the likes of London or even Bath when it came to giving people what they wanted in terms of shops and shopping. Bristol has seen something of a retail renaissance in recent years though, and you would have to be pretty fussy to claim that Bristol couldn't offer up a shop for pretty much anything these days.
In 2011 Guide2Bristol launched the Bristol Shop Local campaign, to encourage people in the city to find out about the great local businesses that are on their doorsteps. The Bristol Shop Local campaign will give all shops in Bristol visibility online, from Whiteladies Road and Cotham Hill to Fishponds Road and Staple Hill - and everywhere in between!
Below is a guide to the shops and shopping that you can expect to find in Bristol. We will be updating this guide constantly as we go, so please feel free to email editor(at)guide2bristol.com if you would like anything included that you feel we have missed.
