Bristol Airport is located 8 miles south of Bristol with the main route being via the A38. The airport was recently redeveloped with a new terminal and as of January 2008 was dealing with over 5,500 flights and 375,000 passengers a month. Most major European cities have regular flights from Bristol as well as the usual holiday islands. The new flights to New York have proved very popular.
Airline operators from Bristol Airport include Flybe, Ryanair, KLM, Continental Airlines and Easyjet amongst others.
Car parking, both short and long term is available at the airport as well as at numerous independent operators at generally cheaper costs nearby. Bristol Bus Station also run the Bristol International Flyer every 15 minutes during the day and at less regular intervals during early morning and late at night. Several pick up and drop off points are within Bristol including Clifton, the bus station itself and Bristol Temple Meads railway station.
