Description:
The Western Opera Players Society was formed in 1946 by a group of friends with a shared interest in the theatre.
We are now a well established amateur dramatics theatre group in Bristol and have members ranging from the ages of 12 to 60+!
In the past we have performed shows such as 'Guys and Dolls', 'My Fair Lady', 'Kiss me Kate','Fiddler on the Roof' and 'Mack and Mabel'.
We always welcome new members to our society whether to perform onstage, help out backstage, chaperone or just serve tea and coffee we always provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
We rehearse from 7.45pm-10.00pm every Tuesday evening at 'Faithspace'-Southville Community Hall, Stackpool Road, Southville, Bristol.
Our next production is Lionel Bart's 'Oliver!' amd will be performed at our traditional venue 'The Redgrave Theatre, Clifton, Bristol.
