Where to move to

Hi Everyone! Great site by the way! I am about to move to Bristol for work and have never lived in the city before. I've been reading the area guides and fancy living outside of the city centre but in a place with some life, safe for family and with green spaces around. I'm considering places like Stoke Bishop, Bedminster Down, St Andrews. can anyone help? Any opinions on these, any areas I've missed? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks!

Bishopston, Redland and Cotham are nice and also in the catchment area of the new Redland Comprehensive school if that matters.

Hi Muttley, having lived pretty much all over Bristol the last 12 years your best bet if you have a family is to stick to the following areas St Andrews, Cotham, Redland or Clifton - they have lots of safe green spaces and good resturants and and activities in walking distance - good luck with your search!
