Bristol’s local art scene

Bristol’s local art scene

Isn’t it amazing how arty Bristol is as a city? Part of the reason why I live here (apart from all the festivals!) is that you really feel like you are part of a vibrant arts scene.

There’s the amazing City Museum, hosting Banksy of course and getting on the front pages of newspapers around the world, then more recently showing the brilliant art from the new world exhibition. Then you’ve got smaller local galleries like Weapon of Choice, who display some great street art.

In fact, you don’t even need to visit a gallery in Bristol to see great art – it’s all around us, thanks to the spray can scene.

I also love Bower Ashton, and really look forward to seeing the student shows at the end of the year. So much talent up there, it’s really amazing.

Anyway, I’ve said my bit – art in Bristol, we love it!
