Lower Almondsbury - BS32

A picturesque village ideally located at the gateway to the West Country. Just a few minutes north of Bristol it is one of South Gloucestershire’s gems. From the top of the village there are wonderful views of South Wales, the Forest of Dean, the River Severn and both of the Severn Bridges. Close by is the Georgian city of Bath, the Slimbridge Wildfowl Reserve, the beautiful Wye Valley, and just over the Severn Bridge into South Wales Tintern Abbey.

Lower Almondsbury is close to Thornbury and ideally located for those wishing to visit the Mall at Cribbs Causeway BS34 and the Aztec West Business Centre BS32.

Thornbury - BS35

A small market town close by that was documented in the Domesday Book in 1086. Thornbury has a picturesque High Street and a castle designed about 1510 for the third Duke of Buckingham. It was never finished as he was executed by Henry VIII for treason.

Today Thornbury's population has grown to 12,000 and the town is twined with Bockenem in Germany. Each year, Thornbury has a number of events including a mop fair, a summer carnival and art festival.

Other villages in the area include Alveston, Easter Compton, Elberton, Olveston, Over and Tockington
